ASNB

ASNB

Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad, the wholly-owned unit trust arm of Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) that manages Malaysia's national unit trust funds, including the well-known Amanah Saham Bumiputera (ASB). It is how most Malaysians access PNB's funds.

ASNB manages and distributes the family of national unit trust funds created by PNB, ranging from fixed-price funds like ASB to variable-price funds open to all Malaysians. These funds have historically been popular for their steady annual income distributions and are accessible through ASNB branches, agent banks, and the myASNB platform. Some funds are restricted to Bumiputera investors while others are open to everyone, so eligibility depends on the specific fund.

For many Malaysian households, ASNB funds are a core, easy-to-access savings and investment vehicle, valued for their accessibility and track record. As with all investments, past distributions are not a promise of future returns, and even fixed-price funds carry investment risk despite their price stability. ASNB funds are commonly compared against fixed deposits and other unit trusts when deciding where to place medium- and long-term savings.
