About money.com.my
Clearer answers for the money decisions that actually matter.
Who this is for
You have a financial decision to make. Maybe you're comparing savings accounts and not sure which rate is actually current. Maybe the OPR just moved and you want to know what that means for your loan. Maybe you've heard about a new digital bank and want to know if it's worth switching.
That's the gap money.com.my fills. We write guides that start from the question you're actually asking — and end with a clear answer, grounded in current Malaysian numbers. Not overviews. Not "it depends on your personal situation". The context you need to make the call yourself.
We cover savings, fixed deposits, EPF, home loans, credit scores, digital banks, and the broader personal finance decisions that affect Malaysians at every income level. The numbers we show are kept current because yesterday's rates don't help today's decision.
Editorial principles
We name specific products and rates
"Several banks offer competitive rates" tells you nothing. We name the banks, cite the current rates, and date the information. If rates change, we update the guide.
We include products that don't pay us
EPF, ASNB, and KWSP don't have affiliate programmes. We recommend them anyway, when they are the right answer. The fact that a product generates no commission for us does not reduce its visibility.
Affiliate relationships are disclosed on every page
When a guide contains affiliate links, a disclosure appears at the top. The disclosure is not buried in a footer or written in legal language. It says plainly that we may earn a commission if you apply.
Factual claims link to the original source
BNM OPR decisions, EPF contribution rates, LHDN tax brackets — anything that comes from a regulatory source links to the original publication. Not our interpretation. The source.
Guides are written for a specific decision, not general awareness
Every guide starts from a real question: Should I open a GX Bank account? How do I get my CCRIS report? What is the right FD tenor right now? We don't write topic surveys. We write decision guides.
How we fact-check our guides
Every guide on money.com.my is fact-checked against primary sources (Bank Negara Malaysia, Department of Statistics Malaysia, KWSP/EPF, LHDN) before publication. If you find an error, email hello@money.com.my — corrections are published with a dated amendment note.
Because money.com.my covers Your-Money-Your-Life topics, our editorial process requires named human review before publication. We are currently finalising the named editor credit; until then, every guide is fact-checked against the primary sources listed above using a documented process.
About our analysis section
money.com.my Analysis is an AI-assisted editorial format — original editorial analysis on Malaysian personal finance topics, reviewed for accuracy by our editorial process before publication.
Some analysis pieces include contributing perspectives from Adam Tan (Growth), Daniel Lim (Risk), and Sarah Abdullah (Action). These are editorial personas, not real individuals — they represent distinct analytical frames we apply to financial topics, not separate human writers. Every analysis piece passes through the same fact-checking process described above before publication.
What we are not
money.com.my is not a licensed financial advisor and nothing on this site constitutes financial advice. We present data and explain options. The decision is yours.
We are not affiliated with Bank Negara Malaysia, DOSM, or any bank. All rates and figures come from official government sources — not estimates or third-party data. Product recommendations are independent of any commercial relationship unless explicitly disclosed.
