What you need to know now
- Budget 2027 raises Bantuan Awal Persekolahan (Early Schooling Aid, BAP) from RM150 to RM200 per pupil. It increases an existing scheme and is a Budget announcement, not yet gazetted. (Budget 2027 speech (Ucapan Belanjawan, Malay original), page 42, paragraph 98)

How to check or appeal
- Read paragraph 98 of the Budget 2027 speech (page 42 of the Malay original) on the official Budget site. Type the address yourself rather than following a link from a message. belanjawan.mof.gov.my ↗
- This page lists no payment date until an official source gives it. Treat any message that gives you a date or asks you to do something to receive BAP with suspicion.
- Never share your IC number, OTP or login with anyone who offers to 'register' you for BAP.
What changed
- 9 October 2026: The Budget 2027 speech raises BAP from RM150 to RM200 per pupil. It says 5.3 million pupils are eligible, with an allocation of RM1 billion.
